Is There A Cure For Stammering?

I often wonder why speech therapists and other so called specialists continue to advise that there is no known cure for stammering. It is widely known, especially here in the UK, that for people who are determined to work hard and who are prepared to put in the required amount of practice that stammering can be overcome.
